Shipping + Returns
Brands are independently responsible for producing and shipping orders to customers. Because production currently takes place in the USA, standard ground shipping within the US is approximately 5-10 business days from notification of shipment email. Estimated delivery dates listed on the site are estimates and may be subject to change (or sooner!). To ensure a delivery date, please contact us so we can put you in touch with the brand directly.
After your order has shipped, you will get a shipping confirmation email along with a shipping tracking number so you will be able to get up-to-the-minute updates on the location and status of your package.
In order to offer you the best shopping experience possible, a Nineteenth Amendment representative is available to assist you either before or after placing your order. Currently, free shipping is only included for US destinations. If you wish to ship outside of the USA, please contact us for additional shipping rates. For international orders, the exact shipping fee depends on final destination and does not include any additional customs or taxes.
Custom and Taxes for International Orders
If shipping internationally, your order may be subject to import and/or taxes charges, which are levied once your package reaches your country and which are the responsibility of the shopper. Nineteenth Amendment brands ship your package DDU, "duties and taxes unpaid", and they cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur these additional charges, they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. For more information regarding your country's custom policies, please contact your local customs office.
Each purchase of a product on Nineteenth Amendment is a pledge to support a brand you believe in. You should think of every purchase on our site like buying a work of art. But we know not everything is perfect all of the time so, if you really do not like your purchase, you can return your unworn item to Nineteenth Amendment for a full refund within the 14-day return window. We appreciate your honesty in returning unworn products with tags intact and giving the brand constructive feedback on the return and on any dissatisfaction with the products produced.
Billing + Fees Policy
Brand Subscription Fees
Nineteenth Amendment charges brands a monthly subscription fee for a Brand's use of the Nineteenth Amendment Smart PLM platform and optional marketplace. This monthly fee is for access to the production platform and optional sales channel and does not include any other services. If you are interested in additional services, see our Brand Services. Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis and can be cancelled automatically through the ACCOUNT PLAN section of your account or with at least 30 days’ notice by contacting us at info@NineteenthAmendment.com with title “CANCELLATION REQUEST”. A subscription may not be canceled during a production order or during the fulfillment of a pre-sale including the 14 day window of product return after a customer has received their product. Nineteenth Amendment will bill the Brand for past due fees if payment is not remitted. These fees are liable to be changed at any time at the discretion of Nineteenth Amendment. Please note, if you cancel your account, you will no longer be able to access your Brand Admin functions including past orders, manufacturers, sales and customer information.
Sales Fees + Brand Commissions
Brands who chose to pre-sell and manufacture through the platform shall receive payouts for any sales of their products. Nineteenth Amendment takes a transaction fee for every order processed. The transaction fee is 10% for orders under 100 units per SKU, 15% for orders over 500 units per SKU, 20% for orders over 1000 units per SKU, and 25% for orders over 10,000 units per SKU. Payouts for materials, shipping, and production costs from orders are processed the day after the sale and are paid to the Brand within 48 hours if the Brand accurately entered payment information into the Nineteenth Amendment Brand Admin system. Brand is responsible for all of its products returned within 2 week after shipping said products to the customer. If Brand's product(s) are returned by Shopper to Nineteenth Amendment, Nineteenth Amendment will issue the Shopper a full refund for their purchase and invoice the Brand for the cost of the product plus shipping costs. Nineteenth Amendment may hold the product until Bran has paid invoice. Please see Brand Terms for more information.
If a Brand uses a Nineteenth Amendment Manufacturing Partner, Brands are solely responsible for timely payment to manufacturers for all purchase orders. When a Brand receives a manufacturer’s invoice, they must abide by that Manufacturer's payment terms.
Shipping Fees for Samples
Brand is solely responsible for any shipping fees related to the shipment of their orders to customers. Brand is also solely responsible for any shipping fees related to any shipping or drop-off of garments to Nineteenth Amendment and to Manufacturering Partners.
Paying your Brand bill and getting paid
In order to sign up on Nineteenth Amendment as a Brand, you must be have a US-based credit card or operate out of a Stripe-supported geography. If you do not fit either of those criteria, you must have a PayPal account and contact us before getting started.
All fees that are listed on your Nineteenth Amendment bill are in US Dollars, and you are responsible for any currency exchange rates as at the time of payment.
Once you sign up for a Nineteenth Amendment plan, you are able to take advantage of our additional Brand Services ! Nineteenth Amendment has cultivated a strong network of partner service providers and opportunities that we offer to our Brands, including services around photography, press, stylists, production assistance, and merchandising. These services are opt-in and billed separately. This also includes access to our exclusive FOR DESIGNERS Facebook group which we use to post opportunities and references in real-time.
